Pecom

Pecom is MAN Roland's innovative solution to enable printers to maximize the opportunities offered by MAN Roland presses through integrating production systems.

Essentially Pecom allows printers to connect the MAN Roland press with other production equipment, so creating integrated networks. This means of production reduces production time, increases accuracy, reduces costs and increases productivity.

In the same way that an office has its equipment linked on one network; word processor, scanner, printer, email, the internet, so enabling rapid workflow, so MAN Roland saw that if print production equipment could be similarly linked the benefits would be tremendous.

If the press could be linked to the pre-press equipment, to imagesetters and platesetters, to the management information system and to finishing the benefits would enable printers to increase their productivity significantly.

For the past ten years MAN Roland has been developing Pecom. Pecom based integrated production networks are now installed in hundreds of printers around the world, and in dozens of UK printers.
