Pecom Pre-presslink is available on the Roland 300, 500, 700 and 900 presses. Pre-pressLink enables direct data transfer from the pre-press studio, the imagesetter and the platesetter into the press, through Pecom.

Pecom Pre-pressLink is proven technology, it has been available for almost seven years, and is working in printers around the UK. It provides a link with virtually any digital pre-press equipment. Printers in the UK with Roland presses are using it to link to Scitex, Screen, Agfa, Fuji, Barco, Creo, ECRM, Highwater and other makes of pre-press equipment.

Pre-pressLink will take the digital data generated in pre-press, for instance the ripped image, and will use it to set the press. In this case the ripped data for each of the process colours, plus any special colours is obviously a completely accurate rendition of the job. That data is then converted in Pecom and used to automatically set the ink ducts bon the press, saving time and giving complete accuracy.

On the digital presses such as DICOweb Pre-pressLink actually provides the data to expose the image direct onto the press.
